Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (CST)
The season of Lent is characterized by prayer, fasting, and doing good works in preparation of the celebration of Easter. During this sacred time, we are encouraged to reflect on the mysteries of Christ's journey from life to death to new life, what the Church calls the Paschal Mystery. Through ritual, word and image we contemplate the life of Christ and the meaning it has for our own lives. For we too, experience life, death and renewal throughout our lifetime.
During this morning of reflection, we will contemplate Lenten scriptures and themes, and gaze upon sacred images using the practices of Lectio Divina - "sacred reading" and Visio Divina - "sacred seeing". These ancient forms of Christian prayer allow our hearts and imaginations to enter into sacred texts and images in deep silence and listening with our soul to what the Lord desires to say to us.
$15 registration fee - Registration requested by noon on Tuesday, March 17
