Wisdom Writing Circle - Winter 2020 Series

Writing opens windows into our inner-life. Writing can keep us centered, help us discover new aspects of ourselves, and new perspectives on our lives. When we come together as a community of those who write, we share these discoveries in a safe circle.

Whether you are an aspiring writer or want to explore writing in a group setting, the Circle will provide a structure and a supportive environment to explore the written expression of your experience.

"We only need to be willing to learn who we are and what the depth of our soul truly wants and needs to express. While sharing our writing in a safe circle, we learn to trust the process and thereby trust ourselves."

- Peggy Tabor Millin, Women, Writing and Soul-Making

Our Circle will meet four consective weeks. Karen will lead us in activities that include writing exercises, a time to share writing and an opportunity for the group to respond to the writings.

Karen Hurley Kuchar is a leadership coach and consultant to nonprofits. As a life-long writer and reader, she is fascinated by both the power and beauty of words. She started Wisdom Writing Circles using the Amherst writing method that inspired her writing through using prompts and positive feedback. A time of transition in her life was the source of many poems, which are published in a collection entitled, Consider the Lobster.

$60 for the series of 4 sessions - space is limited, registration requested by January 9

This offering is co-sponsored by Tau Center, A Spirituality Ministry of the Wheaton Franciscans and Anawim Arts.
