Contemplative Photography

Contemplative Photography is based on the Zen notion of "beginner's mind" – that open and spacious place when we are completely receptive, totally present and connected to the wonder of each moment. Using the narrow view of a camera lens, along with meditation, this spiritual practice helps move us into a clear awareness where we see everything as fresh and new, resulting in beauty and richness revealed that is normally hidden from view. This inspirational video celebrates the images and Haiku created by participants from our Contemplative Photography Retreat held in September 2014 at Tau Center.
